Can you lead if you can’t communicate?

Leadership communication is first and foremost about exchange of meaning through verbal and non-verbal means. It  is the systematic and meaningful sharing of information through excellent skills in order to inspire and motivate individuals and groups. It is a complex process which starts from developing a communication strategy and mastering precise and effective writing and speaking to control thorny situations. Leadership communication has three major aspects: core, managerial, and corporate. Communication complexity increases with the increase in the level of leadership. So, leaders need to be innovative to become more effective and manage a wider array of situations.

Efficient improvisation and adaptation when you communicate as a leader can only happen if you first observe your team in order to understand them. You need to understand each of them individually as well as how they interact with the rest of the team. Then you can note any changes and the circumstances that triggered it.
